I Dream of a Better Philippines
Each and everyone of us knows our country is in crisis. Crisis in the aspects of politics, finances, security defense, human trafficking, exploitations, moral issues in the church and even in our own family, there are crisis everywhere. We face new problems everyday and these branched out into more problems. In the television, we often see bad news. I am asking myself. When will the time comes when the news are mostly about the progress of our country? People are sick and tired of watching flash reports about kidnappings, accidents in the roads, quarrel among politicians, anomalies among local departments, new gimmicks of our president and controversies among artists like the newest scandal of Katrina-Hayden sex scandal. That's why we are not surprised someday if catch a 4 year old boy watching this video in computer. Alarming isn't it? But it's true. The fact that pornography is one of the most alarming crisis world wide not only here in our country.
But who are the people behind of these shameful things? Should we blame the government officials, the leaders of the Church, the artists, the elders or should we blame ourselves? The answer is within us. Somehow we take part of this crisis. In our own little ways, we contributed thourg the widespread of this deadlier virus than AH1N1, virus that root from our hearts. The challenge is very simple. Each and everyone of us must take a step, little by little, to turn our wrongdoings into the benefit of others. We can start this change in by being active in our community activities, supporting the programs of our city, following the rules and regulations in the school, being polite to our teachers, respecting our fellow classmates and having the quality time in our own family! Even in the politics, if they were only willing to listen to each other, I don't think there will be lots of quarreling. They can make many laws, programs and economical plans that will benefit the country. "The change that we want is within us!", said by Pres. Obama, current pres. of USA.
Everyone is familiar with "AKO MISMO" right? This is a small campaign that started by the promotions of well known celebrities. It's not all about dog tags, but it's about the commitment of everyone in showing their nationalism in their own ways. I'm glad they made a program like this. Because a true Filipino knows how to be a good citizen. Maybe if everyone participates in this especially there will be great change. Hey! I'm not saying that there would be abrupt change in everything. I'm saying is if the youth can show it, then there will be a step by step solutions in every problems and questions. It's nice to think that someday we can dream wherein the Philippines belong to the First world countries! Is there anyone who doesn't like that. Of course, all will love that place where respect and harmony is the spirit of each ones heart. Anyone can stand out and make their own legacy to make this country or this world a better place for you and for MeeeeeEEee!

BigfOOoot's flipflops?!?
The book that really inspired me on how I perceive the world is the new york's bestseller book entitled "The Road less traveled" written by Dr. M. Scott Peck. It's very uplifting for my spirit bec. it gives me ways to understand more the true essence of life and how you can live life in wackiest and craziest way like a long ride in roller coaster!
I entitled this blog "Bigfoot's flipflops" bec. this book made a great impact in my perspective towards life. The vast meaning of LIFE is now getting clearer and clearer (not the shampooo!)to me. Life s difficult. (anyone disagrees?) But understanding those hardships, challenges, trials, problems and challenges mold us into a well polished individual. We can learn from our daily experiences and even from our mistakes. I used the word "flipflops" bec. knowing those lessons don't stop there. We must apply them in order for us to get in our own final goal. We must be equipped with confidence in ourselves and in God, for HE is the only one who will never leaves us especially when we are engulfed with our worldly burdens.
To give you the overview of this book, it simply gives you insights on how to make your life easier. In every little journey we take, we often face decision-makings, whether to choose this way or that way. Two options or two different roads are given that make us confuse more often than not if we have limited experiences. Many people always take the more alluring road adorned by earthly temptations because they find it more convenient and few are choosing the rough road. The persons who chose the easier road don't think that they will have to fall in a very long line which lasts thousand of miles. On the contrary, the few persons who chose the dark road travel lightly and undeniably tiring. But the important things are how you take your every step and whom the people you are with. These aspects make your travel meaningful and unforgettable! In the end, we become more refined and stronger in struggling those hardships. Life is tough but we can be TOUGHER!
I have one secret to share with you guys(so it's not secret anymore). I've learned upon reading the said book that when you are overwhelmed, exhausted, dizzy or you can feel your brain turned upside down because your professor give you a mathematical problems which came from nowhere...the secret is to BREATH! Simple, to inhale and to exhale. But not too much bec. you might blast an unpleasant odor! ha ha ha! When you breath, aside from it relaxes your muscles, it also reminds you that you're only a human. You can't work everything or you can't do everything in a single instance. You need a help bec. you're an imperfect human being and you need the guide of the creator.
"Hey jAaassssOOonnnN! Go to sleep, you still have classes tomorrow!" my mom said, with her full force in her vocal chords! wahahaha!Oops! I must leave now but I'll be bcak in a few moments. (or Daaayyysss?! harhar)
Twinkle Twinkle little start....
"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are, like a diamond in the sky, twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you aarrrrre..." wohhhh! ehem. Anyone knows this song right? wahaha!
When we are young, we always dream to be superheroes like the power rangers, superman, batman and robin, incredible hulk, spiderman and other marvel heroes or have the extraordinary powers of flash bomba, the futuristic inventions of tiny tony, etc.. I dreamed also to be like spiderman who is very unfair bec. he doesn't use LRT or any other vehicle to travel for he has these super mega extra sticky web! ha ha ha! But thins change, and my dreams also changed.
When I was a highschool student, I aim to be a scientist, a famous discoverer of any technology, like Bill Gates who made the Microsoft software, Thomas Edison who made the light bulb, many many more. But no NO no! They're not my favorites anymore. Again they had changed.
If I were a famous person (I hope so) I'd be like Robert Langdon in the fictional book of The Angels and Demons written by the controversial Dan Brown who I also admire not that the way he disbeliefs in Catholic religion but the way he presented his stories. Aja! hahaha! I've chosen Robert Langdon bec I idolized the way he solves the puzzles in the story to unlock the dark secrets of the centuries and to decode hidden ambigrams that will show another clue. Reading his adventures makes me remind of something as the story nears to its climax. "Courage is not about the absence of fear but it is changing the things that you can still change and accepting the things that you can't change anymore." That simple yet a profound quote often writes when somebody let me autographed n his/her Slumbook (does it really exist anymore?!) hehehe. He showed the power of our Will if just set our minds that we can always find answers to our questions.
Oh my GoooooShhh! Did I hear it right? There is someone that is singing "Di kita malilimutaaaAnnnn" when I'm typing this blog. SccaaaRrry! hahaha.

What's up, lollipop?
What's up with ME now?
Want to know the latest trend? How about the hottest fashion statement? Or the newest movies, whether local or international, in the box office? Be with me and let's talk anything under the sun!
Fortunately, I'm a 2nd year Chemical Engineering student enrolled in The University of Sto. Thomas right now. I was separated to my former classmates because they chose morning classes. There are 4 sections in CHE but only 1 section has a morning schedule. During the pre-sectioning, almost all wants to be in that section. But for me, it's inconvenient that's why I'd rather choose afternoon classes. One reason is that I traveled almotst one hour and a half everyday because my place is far from the University. But it's okay, i know that I'm lucky because I have a lot og beautiful and nice classmates in my new section.
In this semester, I have new sets of goals. I aim to be a scholar bec. I want to reciprocate the sacrifices of my parents. Another is to have new set of friends. I' very approachable and friendly person that's why I have a lot of friends but few I considered as 'best friends". I want to study french language in summer so I can express myself in french even word by word. My uncle wants me to visit him in Paris, France when a lot of free time or during vacation. I hope that plan will come true. My goal also is to find an inspiration or special someone. I realized that my EQ is higher than my IQ meaning, I work ay my best when I'm inspired or I blast my full potentials if there is someone that encourages me. I want that someone to be with me not bec. I want HER to be only a subject of my inspiration but bec. I want to share my life with her. :)
Three things I really loved: Chocolates, books and FOOoood! I'm so much addicted in chocolates. I want to eat chocolates as my dessert in every after meal. And if there are chocolates lost in the refrigerator, the suspect would be definitely MEeehhh! hehehe. On the contrary, others thought that I seldom eat bec. I'm too slim at my age and compared to my batchmates. But I tell you, every now and then, I eat, EAT and eat a lOOoooot! It's in my genes that's why I don't easily get fat. I'm fond of taking pictures of myself espeically when I hangout with my friends in malls, markets, universitites and "caves". We're the only ones who know what "cave" means to us. hahaha. Lately, i'm enjoying listening to old songs and Japanese songs. Maybe the reason is that the OPM songs are now just simple. They made songs which have repeatitive lyrics and even others are just reviving the old songs by just changing the melody little bit. But for me, some old songs are more soulful to hear because the lyrics have very meaningful impact to the listeners because the composers really think, THINK and think of them.
I'm already a 'sailor' in this university. Oops! Not like Popeye ,who has big muscles and have a background songs of pOOoooot PoooOOOTTt!Ho ho ho! I'm a 'sailor n the aspect of dealing everyday with different circumstances like for example the unending floods n espaƱa! Errr. It's very annoying bec. there are many people that are stranded and bec. a snake-like traffic. On the other hand, I know very well to go when it's hot. I've found a lot of spots which have very convenient aircons like for example in the library, I discovered sections that are really cOool! ha ha ha! But oh! Don't think that I just go to the library to refresh myself with the cool ambience there, I really loved reading books and anime manga in the internet section(except the facilitator is very strict in guarding those who will ply games, whappack!) during my spare time.
That's all folks!
-- I would very much appreciate if you guys will leave a comment. THANKS!
